Natunola Health, Nepean, Ontario, Ca­nada, has constructed a new flaxseed dehulling plant in Winchester, Ontario, Canada. Separating the flax kernel from the hull in order to obtain the high value components, such as lignans and fibers for nutraceutical uses, has previously proven difficult. However, Natunola’s pa­tented flaxseed de­hulling process has effectively solved this problem. This new manufacturing facility produces Na­tunola’s new line of highly stable dehulled flaxseed ingredients, including high omega 3 oil fractions such as Na­tunola® Omega 3 Flax Kernels.
